  • Attendance Winners

    Fri 18 Jul 2025

In today's end-of-year Celebration Assembly, children who have achieved 100% attendance for the whole of the school year received a gold certificate and a book voucher for Waterstones. Well done to those children for trying so hard to come into school everyday. There was also an award for the child with the most improved attendance.

In class, children also received silver and bronze certificates. Silver certificates were given to children who had 100% for the whole of the summer term and bronze certificates were given to children who had 100% for this half term.

In the assembly, we also had a raffle and everyone's name who received a certificate was in the raffle. Winners were chosen from each year group.

And remember after the summer holidays, come to school everyday for your chance to receive one of these special attendance certificates.

  • Year 2 Graduation Ceremony

    Thu 17 Jul 2025

Year 2 had an amazing time today at their Graduation Ceremony. Today we reflected on how much the children have learnt at our school from Nursery to Year 2. They have become readers, writers, mathematicians, geographers, scientists, historians, sports people and made friendships and memories that they will cherish forever. They sang special songs, recited a poem that underpins our school values and celebrated the successful journey of each and every child throughout their time at Minet Infant and Nursery School. Thank you to parents and carers who came and supported their child today. All of the teachers and staff from Minet Infants will miss the children dearly and wish every child success in the next steps of their education.

    Tue 01 Jul 2025

The Secretary of State for Education The Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson visited Minet Infant and Nursery School this week. She had a tour of the school, spoke to lots of children in each class, meet Cyril our reading dog, saw a cooking group take place and visited the building works currently taking place for 2-year-old provision which is opening in September 2025. She was very complimentary of the school and commented on how calm the school was and all the purposeful learning that was taking place across the school. It was a pleasure to show her and her team around the school and we thank them for visiting us at Minet.
