Eco-Schools Award 2025–2026
For the academic year 2025–2026, Minet Infants is proud to be working towards achieving the Eco-Schools Award.
This initiative reflects our commitment to developing environmentally responsible attitudes and behaviours in our pupils. Through this programme, we aim to empower children to make positive choices that contribute to a more sustainable future.
We are applying for the Eco-Schools Award for several important reasons:
- To promote environmental awareness – helping children understand key issues such as climate change, recycling, and protecting natural habitats.
- To encourage pupil voice and leadership – giving children the opportunity to take an active role in improving their school environment through our Eco Committee.
- To develop lifelong habits – such as reducing waste, saving energy, and caring for our surroundings.
- To connect learning with real-world impact – allowing pupils to see how their actions can make a difference both locally and globally.
Throughout the year, pupils will take part in a range of eco-friendly activities. We look forward to working together as a school community to achieve this award and make a positive difference for our planet.
Meet the Team
Meet the Eco Warriors at Minet Infants and Nursery School. We are a group of pupils who take on an important role in helping our school care for the environment and learn how to look after the world around us.
Our responsibilities include encouraging recycling, reducing waste, and helping others to save energy around the school. We remind their classmates (and Teachers) to switch off lights, reuse resources where possible, and put rubbish in the correct bins.
The Eco Warriors are taking part in environmental projects such as planting, caring for school ground, and exploring ways to support saving energy. We work together to share ideas and promote eco-friendly habits across the school community.
Most importantly, we want to be role models for others, helping to inspire positive changes that make our school more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The Eco Warriors are: Christian, Naomi, Clara, Maaisa, Miles, Arun, Ravneet, Zamin, Brain, Jingchen, Nehal, Anaya, Noah, Reda, Shanoy, Wardah, Amira, Hameed, Kleon, Prince, Sarah, Shanerly, Sophia and Abigail.

Eco Warriors Assembly
Our Eco Warriors were celebrated in a very special assembly this week. As you can see in the photos, each member was proudly presented with their official Eco Warrior badge. These badges recognise their commitment to caring for our school environment and promoting sustainable choices. We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, leadership, and the positive example they set for others. Well done to all of our Eco Warriors — we can’t wait to see the impact they make this year.
Eco code
Our Eco Warriors have been busy creating their Eco Code! As a team, they shared ideas and are now designing posters to share their message across the school:
Make our world clean and bright
It’s our job to do what’s right
Never drop your litter on the ground
Everyone helps all around
Together we keep Earth safe and sound
