For the academic year 2025–2026, Minet Infants is proud to be working towards achieving the Eco-Schools Award.

This initiative reflects our commitment to developing environmentally responsible attitudes and behaviours in our pupils. Through this programme, we aim to empower children to make positive choices that contribute to a more sustainable future.

We are applying for the Eco-Schools Award for several important reasons:

• To promote environmental awareness – helping children understand key issues such as climate change, recycling, and protecting natural habitats.
• To encourage pupil voice and leadership – giving children the opportunity to take an active role in improving their school environment through our Eco Committee.
• To develop lifelong habits – such as reducing waste, saving energy, and caring for our surroundings.
• To connect learning with real-world impact – allowing pupils to see how their actions can make a difference both locally and globally.

Throughout the year, pupils will take part in a range of eco-friendly activities. We look forward to working together as a school community to achieve this award and make a positive difference for our planet.
