Operation Encompass is a police and education early information safeguarding partnership. Schools that participate in the scheme such as Minet are notified by the police when they have been called to an incident of domestic abuse. This information enables schools to offer immediate support to children experiencing domestic abuse in order to support their emotional wellbeing and mental health. 

Any notifications from Operation Encompass are treated with the strictest confidentiality by the school's Safeguarding Team and is used to ensure children get the support that meets their needs and wishes.
