  • Attendance winners - Spring 2

    Well done to our attendance winners for the Spring term. Bronze certificates were handed out to children who achieved 100% for Spring 2 and children received silver certificates who had 100% for the whole of the Spring term. They were entered into our attendance raffle and a winner selected for each year group. Don't forget to come to school everyday in the Summer term for a chance to be entered into the next raffle!

  • Year 2 visit to St Mary's Church

    Today, children enjoyed a visit to the local church, St Mary's. They recapped their learning about Easter and looked at artefacts in the church. Father Wheeler was impressed with the children's knowledge of the Easter story and how Christians celebrate Easter.

  • Activities and Food programme during the Easter holidays in Hillingdon

    Bookings for Hillingdon’s Easter Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) programme have now opened! 

     

    Through our programme of free healthy food and fun activities, children and young people can develop new skills, take part in creative and physical activities, learn about food and cooking, and enjoy a nutritious meal each day. 

     

    Our holiday programme is open to school-aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals. 

     

    Activities this Easter include: 

    • Learn to ride a bike or develop your cycling skills
    • Football, Cricket, Basketball and multi-sports
    • Parent and child cookery sessions 
    • Dance, drama and arts programmes 
    • Multi-activity camps 
    • Remote Control car racing
    • Coding activities 
    • SEND activity camps
    • Specialist music and drama programmes for asylum/refugee children

  • International Day

    On the 10th of March children and staff in our school took part in an International Day.

     

    We had a wonderful day learning facts about countries around the world, creating art from different cultures, learning words in different languages, listening to stories from other cultures and taking part in creative activities such as dance.

     

    Year 1 and Year 2 children did a short presentation for their parents/ carers. It was a very colourful day with all staff and children coming to school in their cultural outfits.

  • Year 2 science investigation

    Today, children in Year 2 walked to Minet Country Park to investigate the question 'Why do rabbits live at Minet Country Park?'. We looked for things that a rabbit needs to survive and discussed why it is a good habitat for rabbits. We recorded our observations onto a table and will use them to answer our question in our next science lesson. Some classes even got to see some rabbits hopping around!

  • Parent/ carer attendance workshop

    Thank you to all the parents/ carers who attended the Attendance Workshop. Antoine from Hillingdon Council's Participation Team came into school to discuss with parents/ carers the importance of children having good attendance and how the school and council can support families to secure good attendance for their children. Thank you Antonie for delivering the workshop. We hope parents/ carers found it useful. 

  • Year 1 Family Friday: On line Safety

  • Year 2 Pedestrian Training

    On 14.3.23 and 15.3.23 Year 2 completed Pedestrian training. They learnt how to safely cross the road when using a zebra crossing, between parked cars and on other roads with dropped curbs. Thank you to Hillingdon for providing this service.
