  The Felix Project delivered fresh fruit and vegetables to share with our wonderful Minet Infant and Nursery School community. It was lovely to see so many families come along.

• Year 2 Cricket Taster Session

  Year 2 had a fantastic time taking part in an exciting cricket taster session! The children learnt some new cricket skills and had the opportunity to practise their batting and fielding. Everyone showed great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination as they developed their skills and had a go at something new. It was wonderful to see the children encouraging one another and enjoying this fun sporting experience.

• 100% Attendance

  Today at Minet Infant & Nursery school we celebrated all of the pupils in our 98% attendance club.  These pupils have attendance of 98% and 99% and have done so well to be in for much of the first half of the autumn term. These children all received a good attendance badge that they are now proudly wearing.  

   

  We have also celebrated the children that have attended every day since September.  What an achievement!  These children have received a 100% attendance badge, pencil and a bronze certificate.  All of the children who attended school every day this half term were entered in to a raffle and a winner for each year group was randomly selected.  The four winners have received a colouring book, activity book, a set of colouring pencils as well as their winning ticket.

  Year One - Harman (Cambodia)

  Year Two - Maisa (Tanzania)

• Year 1 Minet Country Park

  Year 1 had a fantastic visit to Minet Country Park as part of their Geography learning. During the trip, the children explored the park and learnt about the difference between human and physical features, identifying examples of both in the local environment. They also took on the role of young geographers by investigating whether there were enough signposts around the park to help visitors find their way. The children enjoyed observing the natural surroundings, discussing their findings and working together throughout the day. 

  

• Police Visit

  What an exciting experience for our Reception children! As part of our People Who Help Us topic, we were very lucky to welcome the police to our school. The children were excited to meet the officers and learn all about how they help to keep us safe. They enjoyed asking questions, finding out about the police's role in the community and seeing some of the equipment they use. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to bring their learning to life and they were full of excitement and enthusiasm throughout the visit. We are sure this will be an experience they will remember for a long time!

  

• Year 2 Mosque Visits

  Year 2 had a wonderful opportunity to visit a Mosque as part of their Religious Education learning. The children were excited to explore the mosque and learn more about the Muslim faith.

  During the visit, they discovered the key features of a mosque, including the prayer hall, prayer mats, mihrab, and minbar. They learned about the importance of prayer in Islam and how Muslims prepare for worship. The children listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and showed great respect throughout the visit.

  

• Pantosaurus

  Pantosaurus visited Minet Nursery and Infant school today! 

   

  The children met Pantosaurus in assembly and he then joined the children for playtime.  Pantosaurus started a conversation with the children today about your pants covering up your private parts.  We listened to his song and learnt that if anyone asks to see what is in your pants you say 'no' and tell a safe adult.  The children really enjoyed meeting Pantosaurus and this supported the important message that he is sharing.
