  Year 2 enjoyed learning about the conditions in London in 1666 and how the fire spread across London. They acted out being in the homes, putting the fire out and rebuilding London after.

• Attendance Winners

  Well done to all the children who achieved 100% attendance this half term. They were each awarded with a bronze certificate and entered into the half termly attendance raffle. Keep up the excellent attendance for the silver certificate which is awarded for 100% attendance for the whole term and another chance to win a prize from our attendance raffle. 

   

  

• PE Football Skills event

  Today, eight children from Key Stage 1 got the opportunity to go to a football skills event at Barnhill High School. The children had opportunities to practice skills like dribbling, passing, shooting and general ball control. They had a great time and competed against other schools. Overall, the children came 3rd out of 7 schools! The children are very proud of themselves.

  

• Year 1 Animal Handling Experience

  Thank you to Laura at Animals UK for a wonderful animal handling experience. Our Year 1 children really enjoyed meeting the animals and learning about their diets. Look at the size of the snake. He's only 6 years old and will grow to be double that size!

  

• Reception Dinosaur Workshop

  The Reception children attended a dinosaur workshop yesterday. They met some very exciting visitors and dug for fossils like paleontologists. 

  

• Year 1 United Kingdom Day

  Year 1 had a special day visiting each classroom to participate in an activity based on one of the countries of the United Kingdom. We used the VRs to 'visit' London landmarks. We learnt Irish Dancing, played rugby and made tartan...a fun filled day!

  

• Year 2 Golf Taster Session

  Mon 06 Feb 2023

  Today the children in Year 2 had a Golf Taster Session with an external coach. The coach taught us about the different equipment needed for golf, the different ways of putting and how points add up in a game of golf. It was very enjoyable to learn about a new sport. Thank you to the coach who came into school to teach us all about golf.
