  • Secretary of State for Education visits Minet Infants

    Tue 01 Jul 2025

The Secretary of State for Education The Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson visited Minet Infant and Nursery School this week. She had a tour of the school, spoke to lots of children in each class, meet Cyril our reading dog, saw a cooking group take place and visited the building works currently taking place for 2-year-old provision which is opening in September 2025. She was very complimentary of the school and commented on how calm the school was and all the purposeful learning that was taking place across the school. It was a pleasure to show her and her team around the school and we thank them for visiting us at Minet.

  • Year 2 Performance at the Beck Theatre – Together We Can Make a Change

    Mon 30 Jun 2025

On Thursday 19th June, ten of our incredibly talented Year 2 children took to the grand stage at the Beck Theatre in Hayes to take part in a very special event organised by the Yeading Cluster. This year’s theme “Together We Can Make a Change” inspired the children to reflect on how they can help make the world a better place. Their performance beautifully brought this vision to life through a thoughtful and expressive dance, woven with a powerful message highlighting our very own Minet Infant & Nursery School’s values. The children performed with confidence and creativity. We are so proud of their dedication and the positive impact their message had on the audience.

Well done to our wonderful performers, you truly made us proud!

  • Reception's visit to Forest Schoool

    Thu 26 Jun 2025

“I liked toasting the marshmallows on the fire!”
“It was so much fun playing in the tall trees!”

These are just a few of the wonderful comments we heard when our Reception children visited Forest School. The day was filled with exploration and joy as the children connected with nature. They experienced the excitement of safely toasting marshmallows over an open fire, den building with large branches, playing tug of war, and experimenting with transient art. It was a day full of discovery, teamwork, creativity and most importantly we made wonderful memories outdoors.

  • Teacher of the Year in a Primary School

    Wed 18 Jun 2025

Mrs Bhambra has received the Silver Award for Teacher of the Year in a Primary School at the Pearson National Teaching Awards 2025. This is a fantastic achievement as only 12 teachers have received the silver award in this category across the whole country. Mrs Bhambra is an exceptional, hard working and dedicated teacher who has had such a huge impact on not only the children in her class but across the whole school as well. We are truly lucky to have her as a teacher at Minet.

Mrs Bhambra was presented with her award on National Thank a Teacher Day by John McDonnell, the MP for Hayes and Harlington and Councillor Susan O'Brien, the Hillingdon cabinet member for Children, Families and Education. We would like to thank them very much for coming into school to present Mrs Bhambra with her award.

Congratulations Mrs Bhambra on your award!
