Santa visited all the children this week during their class Christmas parties. He gave everyone a present and they all remembered their good manners and said 'thank you' to Santa. Everybody was really excited about seeing Santa and had lots of fun at their Christmas party. 

Well done to all our attendance winners. Bronze certificates were given out to children for 100% this half term and silver certificates for children with 100% attendance for the whole of the Autumn term. Well done on coming to school every day! All the children who received a certificate were entered into the attendance raffle. A new award for Most Improved Attendance was also given out. Congratulations to the winner who has worked really hard to improve their attendance as much as possible. And the final award given out was the 12 Days of Christmas Attendance GRAND prize which was a £20 Amazon gift voucher. Well done to all of the winners!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Winter Fayre. It was great to see so many parents/ carers and children attend. There was lots going on including a raffle, a book sale, penalty shootout, food stalls and each class had a stall selling all of the items they had for the fayre. Thank you to all the parents/ carers who made lots of delicious food for sale at the food stall. We raised nearly £2000.00 which will be put towards purchasing resources to further improve OPAL Play.

Children in Year 1 performed their Nativity 'Its the Twinkly Nativity' to all parents and carers! They were amazing at remembering their lines and all the stage directions. Well done for the brilliant show. Thank you so much to our families who attended and we hope you enjoyed it!

Newsletter - Autumn 2

What a fantastic show the Reception children performed this week for their parents/ carers! They sang the songs beautifully, joining in with both the words and actions. They all looked great in their festive hats, and they all felt incredibly proud of their efforts. Well done to all the children in Reception!

We had the pleasure of welcoming parents/carers of our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children over the course of three weeks. We had almost 150 people attend to learn how we teach Phonics and to watch a lesson being taught. A huge thank you to those of you who attended for coming and leaving such great feedback. Also, a very big thank you to all our staff, who teach the RWI scheme so well and have such high expectations of the children. Next half-term, we look forward to welcoming parents and carers to our English and OPAL workshops.

This week, children from our Reception classes visited Triscott House to perform 'Songs for the Season.' The residents enjoyed listening to the children singing and even joined in with some of the familiar festive songs. It was a heart-warming experience and wonderful to see connections being made across the generations.
