Well done to our attendance winners who received a bronze certificate for 100% attendance for this half term. Their names were entered into our attendance raffle and one name for each year selected for a special attendance prize. Let's see who can get 100% next half term!

Newsletter - Autumn 1

On Friday 25th October, the Mayor of Hillingdon, school governors and representatives from the London Borough of Hillingdon education department and the Department for Education attended the school for a grand opening after the completion of the school's refurbishment project. The Mayor cut the ribbon to officially open the school and then they had a tour of the whole school including the outdoor areas. They were very impressed with the school's excellent new facilities. Thank you to everyone who attended.

This half term, our Year 1 pupils have been conducting fieldwork. Fieldwork can be carried out in a number of locations, both in or very close to the school grounds, or within the immediate local environment. This week we visited Hayes Town. Children we finding out about the variety of shops that Hayes Town has to offer....did you know there are 17 takeaways on Coldharbour Lane!

This week, our Year 1 pupil visited Minet Country Park, as part of their Geographical learning. They were enquiring whether there are enough bins at the park. Most children concluded that there were not enough bins as the ones that were there, were overflowing!

Some Year 2 children were lucky enough to take part in the Hillingdon Panathlon Event 2024. The children took part in many different sports activities to compete with other schools across Hillingdon. Our team of eight children came 1st in the KS1 category and are very proud of their achievement! They received certificates, medals and a trophy to display at school. Well done to all the children involved and thank you to the teachers who took them.

The children enjoyed a taster session learning key skills from the sport squash. They learnt a few simple rules and tactics to play the game. The children practised hitting and controlling the ball and playing against a net. All of the children enjoyed it and had fun!
