Attendance Winners
Fri 23 May 2025Well done to all the children who received a bronze certificate for achieving 100% attendance this half term. There were lots of children who received a certificate from each class and a 100% attendance badge. They were all entered into the attendance raffle and one lucky winner was drawn from each year group. At the end of next half term bronze, silver and gold certificates will be awarded. Bronze for 100% attendance for the whole of next half term, silver for children with 100% attendance for the whole of the Summer term and gold for children who have not missed one single school day for the whole year. Remember to come to school everyday so you can receive a certificate and maybe a special raffle prize.

Y2 Poetry Workshops
Mon 19 May 2025On Friday 16th May, we were visited by Laura Mucha, a poet who ran an engaging workshop for our Year 2 pupils. She took the children outside to inspire them, before returning to the classroom and working collaboratively with them to write hilarious poems. One was titled, "The Day We Didn't Have a Teacher" and it was all about the time the dinner ladies accidentally cooked the teacher!

The children learned about the Green Cross Code Stop, Look, Listen, and Think and spoke about how to cross roads safely. They then went on a short walk around the local area, where they practiced crossing at different points with adult support. Houses of Parliament visit
Tue 13 May 2025The Rights Respecting Ambassadors went on a trip to the Houses of Parliament today.
They learnt all about Parliament through an informative film and also had a special tour which included visiting the House of Commons!
What better way to learn about Article 4: The government has a responsibility to make sure your rights are protected. They must help your family to protect your rights and create an environment where you can grow and reach your potential.
