There are a wide range of care jobs currently available from full time to part time to bank staff working full days, half days, evenings, nights and weekends including 'live in jobs'. This could be supporting adults with learning disabilities, the older generation and those with physical disabilities where they need a personal assistant. You could be a travel buddy or just offer an older person someone to talk to once a week, the list of roles is endless.  

Learn Hillingdon offer Health and Social Care courses, including Mental Health from Entry 3 to Level 2. All these courses are part time, and Learn Hillingdon can introduce you to employment agencies who are looking for skilled workers.

Year 2 had an amazing day for Geography Day! They recapped compass points and used key vocabulary like North, East, South and West to programme and direct their beebot. We revisited our knowledge of the United Kingdom and talked about the four countries in it and the surrounding seas. Then, we finished with a fun workshop all about the continents and oceans of the World to introduce our new learning for Year 2. The children had lots of fun and can now name the seven continents of the World!

Minet Infant and Nursery School has achieved gold accreditation for the TfL Travel for Life Award. The school achieved the award for all the work it does to promote road safety awareness and active travel. There are regular lessons and assemblies about these things as well as special events which the school takes part in such as the Big Walk and Wheel. Well done to everyone for their hard work inside and outside of the school to help secure safer roads around the school and encouraging children to travel in an active way.  

Minet Infant and Nursery School has achieved the Gold Primary Geography Quality Mark from the Geographical Association. The quality mark recognises the school's excellent geography teaching and curriculum as well as the high quality geographical experiences such as fieldwork the school provides all children. The award was given to the school as geography has a high profile in the school and the school places a strong emphasis on developing children's geographical knowledge, skills (including maps skills) and vocabulary which is reflected in the high quality work children produce.
