Wed 18 Dec 2024What a fantastic show the Reception children performed this week for their parents/ carers! They sang the songs beautifully, joining in with both the words and actions. Phonics Workshops
Tue 17 Dec 2024We had the pleasure of welcoming parents/carers of our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children over the course of three weeks. We had almost 150 people attend to learn how we teach Phonics and to watch a lesson being taught. A huge thank you to those of you who attended for coming and leaving such great feedback. Also, a very big thank you to all our staff, who teach the RWI scheme so well and have such high expectations of the children. Next half-term, we look forward to welcoming parents and carers to our English and OPAL workshops.

Mon 16 Dec 2024This week, children from our Reception classes visited Triscott House to perform 'Songs for the Season.' The residents enjoyed listening to the children singing and even joined in with some of the familiar festive songs. It was a heart-warming experience and wonderful to see connections being made across the generations.

Pantomime season is upon us!
Mon 16 Dec 2024All the children in Reception and KS1 enjoyed a pantomime in school today. They watched a performance of Dick Whittington which tells the story of a man who sets off from his hometown to London in search of fame and fortune. Everyone really enjoyed watching and joining in the performance - it was a wonderful start to the last week of Autumn term.

Brilliant Parents - Parent Carer Champion Programme
Sun 15 Dec 2024Brilliant Parents are currently in a transitional period with the Parent Carer Champion programme to facilitate work on improving the service, to better support Hillingdon families. However, please know they are here and will be continuing the Parent Carer Champion Programme in the New Year. A huge part of the programme is the delivery of the peer-to-peer support which exists through their amazing volunteers who want to give back, as they themselves are experiencing or have experienced the myriads of challenges faced by parents and carers today.
Brilliant Parents are currently recruiting for their next cohort of volunteers and are reaching out to see if you would like the opportunity to receive training that will benefit you and your family, whilst also providing emotional support to another parent/ carers. Please see the attached and get in touch for any further information: PCC register interest QR (PDF, 387 KB)
In the meantime, if you would like to join our WhatsApp Community to receive announcements for parenting support in Hillingdon, you can join by following the link below.
