Year 1 Visit to the Mandir
Fri 03 Jul 2026Today, our Year 1 children enjoyed a special visit to Shree Jalaram Mandir as part of their learning about places of worship. During their visit, they explored the different features of a mandir and discovered why it is an important place for Hindus.
The children looked at key features such as the murtis (sacred statues), the prayer hall, and the arti area. They learned about how people worship and show respect in the Mandir. The visit gave them a wonderful opportunity to ask questions and deepen their understanding.

Houses of Parliament visit
Thu 02 Jul 2026The KS1 Rights Respecting Ambassadors went on a visit to the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday. They learnt all about Parliament through a special tour which included visiting the House of Commons and seeing a live debate!
What better way to learn about Article 4: The government has a responsibility to make sure your rights are protected. They must help your family to protect your rights and create an environment where you can grow and reach your potential.
The KS1 Ambassadors also took part in a fun workshop and had a surprise visitor too! Mr McDonnell, MP for Hayes and Harlington came to the workshop and it was so nice for the Ambassadors to talk to him about the work of an MP and what we have been doing at school for the RRSA.
