  • TCS Mini London Marathon in Schools

    Tue 06 May 2025

The children in Minet Infants and Nursery School took part in the TCS Mini London Marathon in Schools as part of the TCS London Marathon. Children from EYFS to Year 2 completed a 2.6km run around the school playgrounds and both children and staff had an amazing day!

  • Year 2 Olympic Festival

    Thu 01 May 2025

Year 2 had the opportunity to compete in the Olympic Festival at Grange Park Junior School this week. They took part in activities such as taekwondo, parachute games, golf and dodgeball. The children worked really well as a team and scored lots of points.

They thoroughly enjoyed trying out all the different sports and did such a good job representing Minet Infant School. Well done Year 2!

  • Nursery Farm Visit

    Mon 28 Apr 2025

What an exciting day we had at nursery when the farm came to visit! The playground was filled with wagging tails, fluffy coats, and lots of happy faces. The children loved meeting all the animals, from the bouncy goats to the soft, snuggly rabbits. There were giggles and squeals of delight as the children brushed the animals’ coats and fed them tasty treats. It was a wonderful chance for everyone to get hands-on and learn all about our furry and feathered friends.

  • Year 2 Kenya Day

    Mon 28 Apr 2025

Year 2 had a fantastic time celebrating Kenya Day by taking part in an exciting drumming workshop. They learned how to create different beats on the drum, exploring a range of rhythms used in traditional Kenyan music. Throughout the day, the children also discovered lots about life in Kenya, including the differences between schools in Kenya and those in London, such as school uniforms, class sizes, and daily routines. They enjoyed lively discussions about Kenya’s human and physical features, identifying landmarks, landscapes, and ways people live and work across the country.

Our workshops cover essential topics such as:

    • Fussy Eating
    • Toilet Training
    • Behaviour Strategies
    • Support for parents/ carers transitioning their children into childcare and/or school

Additionally, we offer two comprehensive online parenting courses:

    • Exploring Parenting Together - A fun five-week course designed to help parents/ carers improve their relationship and behaviour with their children.
    • Ducklings - A four-week course aimed at supporting parents/ carers who have a child newly diagnosed with autism spectrum condition or who is awaiting an assessment with the Child Development Centre.

  • Eid Celebrations

    Fri 04 Apr 2025

Thank you to everyone who helped to organise and attend the Eid celebrations this morning. It was so great to see so many parents/carers in to do some crafts with the children. A range of activities were on offer, from crescent mobiles to henna designs, and the children's creations were wonderful. After all this hard work, adults and children were able to tuck into some breakfast. In fact, there were hardly any pastries left by the end of the morning!
