Police Visit
Fri 16 Oct 2026What an exciting experience for our Reception children! As part of our People Who Help Us topic, we were very lucky to welcome the police to our school. The children were excited to meet the officers and learn all about how they help to keep us safe. They enjoyed asking questions, finding out about the police's role in the community and seeing some of the equipment they use. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to bring their learning to life and they were full of excitement and enthusiasm throughout the visit. We are sure this will be an experience they will remember for a long time!

Thu 15 Oct 2026Year 2 had a wonderful opportunity to visit a Mosque as part of their Religious Education learning. The children were excited to explore the mosque and learn more about the Muslim faith.
During the visit, they discovered the key features of a mosque, including the prayer hall, prayer mats, mihrab, and minbar. They learned about the importance of prayer in Islam and how Muslims prepare for worship. The children listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and showed great respect throughout the visit.

Pantosaurus
Wed 14 Oct 2026Pantosaurus visited Minet Nursery and Infant school today!
The children met Pantosaurus in assembly and he then joined the children for playtime. Pantosaurus started a conversation with the children today about your pants covering up your private parts. We listened to his song and learnt that if anyone asks to see what is in your pants you say 'no' and tell a safe adult. The children really enjoyed meeting Pantosaurus and this supported the important message that he is sharing.

Year 2 NSPCC Workshops
Mon 05 Oct 2026Year 2 were fortunate to take part in a special workshop delivered by volunteers from the NSPCC. The session helped children understand the importance of staying safe and knowing who they can turn to if they ever feel worried, upset or unsafe.
During the workshop, the children learnt about safe adults and discussed the trusted people in their lives, both at home and at school, who can help and support them. They talked about the importance of speaking up when something doesn't feel right.
We would like to thank the NSPCC volunteers for delivering such an informative and engaging workshop. Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed the session and learned valuable lessons that will help them stay safe and confident.
