The whole school enjoyed a fantastic Eco Day this week, beginning with an assembly that explained the purpose of the event and encouraged everyone to think about how small actions can help protect our planet; throughout the day pupils took part in a No Pens Day, putting away all writing materials and focusing instead on oracy skills, turn‑taking, active listening and meaningful discussion, while many classes also spent time outdoors appreciating nature; the whole school joined in an Earth‑Saving Hour by switching off lights and non‑essential electronics, giving children a real sense of how energy conservation works in practice; overall it was an excellent day filled with collaboration, curiosity and a shared commitment to caring for our environment.
