We had a wonderful time at Minet celebrating the festive season of Christmas. Our school environment and the learning taking place in the classroom reflects our school's vision for all children to learn, develop and thrive in a safe, stimulating, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

As part of our RE curriculum, Year One children visited a Church. Father Wheeler the priest showed us around the church and gave us information about the important parts of the Church. We also learnt about how Christians celebrate Christmas.

As part of our RE curriculum Year Two children visited a Mosque. We travelled there by bus. We got to see and name parts of the Mosque and learnt how the Mosque serves the local community. We also learnt how and why the Mosque plays an important role in the lives of Muslims.

At Minet we celebrated Diwali with our friends, family and parents/ carers. We enjoyed making divas, Rangoli patterns, listening to the Diwali story and learning about how and why Diwali is celebrated. Reception children also enjoyed learning simple steps of a Garba dance.
