Year 2 visit to the Living Rainforest

The Year 2 children had an unforgettable adventure on their visit to the amazing rainforest! From the moment they stepped into the lush, green environment, they were captivated by the incredible sights and sounds. The children were thrilled to explore and learn about the diverse animals that call the rainforest home. They saw a sleepy sloth hanging from a tree, tiny tortoises near a pond, and fascinating stick insects camouflaged among the leaves. The vibrant birds on branches and the baby crocodile resting in a shady spot were particular highlights. This exciting experience served as the perfect hook for their English lessons, introducing them to the book The Amazing Rainforest. Back in class, they will use their vivid memories to practice retelling the story with their text map, building confidence and excitement before innovating it with their own rainforest adventures.
