Thank you very much for visiting our website and welcome to Minet Infant and Nursery School.
We are a four-form entry school situated in Hayes and are excited about undertaking a large-scale regeneration project next year that will provide us with a much larger, more modern building.
We serve a wonderfully diverse community and have over 400 children on roll from Nursery to Year 2, whom we are incredibly proud of. They are polite, hardworking, resilient and enthusiastic, which are exceptional qualities and make them great learners.
The atmosphere around the school is calm and friendly. Pupils are polite, show respect to adults and each other and are keen to learn. They participate well in lessons. Pupils understand why education is important and how it will help them when they are older to, in their own words, become ‘doctors’, ‘architects’, ‘scientists’ and ‘teachers’ ~ Ofsted (2018)
We seek to have excellent teaching across the school and this is reflected in the hard work the children, staff and community have put into making our school an effective place to learn. We have a talented staff team who are incredibly reflective and are always seeking to further their own learning, so we can continue to provide the best learning environment for our pupils, encouraging them to develop academically, personally and socially.
We hold the community we serve in very high regard and are so appreciative of all their support. We are proud of the strong partnership between home and school, since this is a major contributor to a child’s education. We encourage parents to a play an active role in their child’s education and value their contribution.
You know the community well, and parents and carers are positive about the way you have strengthened relationships. They report that they feel ‘welcome’ and ‘part of the school’. ~ Ofsted (2018)
The children who attend Minet Infant and Nursery School astound us every single day with their kindness, diligence and curiosity, and we are immensely proud of every one of them.
