Goodbye to a wonderful Year 2!
It is with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to our year two . You have had a fantastic year and each and every one of you have made the school and your parents and carers so proud. Thank you for being so kind and caring and for working your socks off to make sure you are the best you can possibly be. We wish you and your families a fun-filled summer holidays.
We were so impressed at your talent filled Goodbye assembly and know that you are now ready to move up to the next phase of your education. Don’t forget to let us know how you get on!
Congratulation to our Nursery Graduates!
We cannot believe it’s that time of the year! Time to say goodbye to some of the children and their parents who move on to Reception.
Our Celebration of Learning was a fantastic showcase of the exciting learning opportunities that the children have been exposed to throughout their time in nursery and a little preparation to their next journey. The children worked really hard and have learnt lots through Marvellous Me, Bug’s Life, When I grow up and many more exciting topics.
We are very proud of all your achievements and wish you to continue building towards your aspirational journeys.
Well done to the children who graduated up to Reception and for the children returning, we look forward to seeing you next academic year for some new adventures.
Thank you parents for your continuous support, have a great summer and keep safe.
ZooLab visited Year 1
As part of their learning for our topic. ‘ What Do Animals Eat? the year one children had a visit from Zoolab. Anna brought some amazing animals (including a snake!) for the children to see, touch and feel. The children were very excited and brave! They now have a better insight of what animals eat and food chains.
I liked touching and feeling all the animals. The snail was massive! The best was the snake and I’m not scared of them anymore.
This year the Summer Reading Challenge at Botwell library is Mischief Makers. It is free to join and lots of prizes awaits. We will share your reading success in a special assembly on 17th September 2018.
Rights Respecting News
For our Rights Respecting assembly this month we learnt about Refugee Day. Children thought about why someone may have to leave their own country and live somewhere else.
Article 7 Children have the right to acquire a nationality and, as far as possible, the right to know and be cared for by their parents.
Mrs Vallijee would like to thank our amazing RRSA Ambassadors for all the hard work they have done this year.
Nursery trip to Ruislip Lido
Fun fun, fun, in the sun at the Ruislip Lido for our BIG nursery trip. On the bus journey to Ruislip Lido the children were full of energy and excitement.
The day was full of sandcastle making, jumping, running in the sand, climbing the pirate ship, playing on the swings and having a picnic. What a great day we all had. Thank you to ALL 27 parent volunteers – you made it extra special and enabled the trip to go ahead!
Sports Days 2018
Thank you to everyone who turned up to support our Sports Day. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves during the round-robin of activities. It was a very enjoyable day and all of the children took part with great enthusiasm. Each animal team worked extremely hard to collect as many points as they could.
Thank you so much to everyone for all your support this year. It has been a wonderful journey of learning and laughter. Have a well deserved rest and see you in September 2018 from Mrs Veale
